The second father and the second son discuss the results of the fight. The second son asks why the first fought so poorly. The father says that it was because the first didn't really have a chance to fight. He then asks the second father if there's still hope for soul beasts in the future. Senior chimes in that there may still be hope. He says that Shreve broke a long-standing record against soul beasts. Senior then asks which soul bones they should choose. The first son says that they should each get a soul bone, but that they can't all get one at once. Senior points out that each of the clan members will get one piece of the soul bone each, but the eldest clan member will get the heirloom. The elder son then asks what kind of bone they can choose. Senior says that soul bones can be used to strengthen meridians, muscles, and other parts of a person's body. He adds that it's better to choose the one that's right for you. The older son asks if he can recommend a trunk soul bone. He tells the younger son that it is the toughest soul bone out of the six. He also tells the older son that the trunk bone is the most powerful soul bone in the world. The younger son thanks the elder son for his advice.
