Back at the academy, deng bo calls on Lan Xuanyu to tell him that he's the captain of his team. He's still not happy with the way things are going at the school, so he leaves. He tells them that they can ask for help if they need it, but that they'll have to ask for permission from the headmaster of the school. They go inside, where they find a statue of a young man holding a trident. The statue reminds them of the time when the school was destroyed by the seven devils of Shresh's holy spirit cult, and the headmaster and leader of the temple were one man. The only difference between the two schools is that the students can join the military, but they can't join the other school's. They're free to do so, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to join both. They both agree that the school seems to be investing in them.
