This chapter opens with a description of the "Garden of Peace and Joy" . It's a place where all the students of the war god's school have gathered to celebrate the end of the school year. One of the students, emerald swanji, is one of the ten ferocious beasts. She's also a member of the first-graders, and she and her classmates defeated all the sixth-graders in the outer court, including the students in the sixth grade. This is a big honor for her, because she's the fourth-best-of-the-ten-beasts. The other students are all excited to meet her, and one of them, general yang, is excited to have a fight with her. He's from the legendary sect of the sea god, tang miao, and he's got a message for old wang: if you're like this, he'll take his side. The war god temple doesn't have a transfer academy, so it's time for the students to enter the garden. If they manage to get a willing partner, they can return to the temple to complete their contract with the temple. They'll have to release their auras as much as they can in order to attract the "soul beasts" to join them in the fight.
