This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter. It is the middle of a fight between two students at the academy. The students are fighting in a ring, and one of the students is wearing a golden skeleton. The other student is wearing the golden skeleton's halberd, and the two students fight. The golden skeleton is separated from the other student's body by a distance of about 820 feet. The student who is fighting is trying to kill the other one, but he is unable to do so because of the distance. The two students continue to fight, until the student who was fighting is separated by the distance of 820 feet, and he tries to kill him with the same golden skeleton that he is using. The second student, who is also fighting, is also unable to kill his opponent, because the distance between them is so great that they cannot touch each other. The first student tries to hit the second student with his golden skeleton, but it is too far away to touch him, and so the student is able to touch the first student instead. The third student is also able to hit him, but the student does not attack him. The fourth student, the student fighting, tries to attack the third student, but his opponent does not move, so the two of them fight again. This time, the second and third students fight again, and this time the student that was fighting was able to kill both of them. The fifth student is the one fighting, and it is the same student as the first.
