It's been a while since Caius has spoken to Gu-Yiming, and he's still not sure what's going on. He's worried that he'll get in trouble if he helps Caius, and that he won't be able to get rid of Caius at all. He wants to know why Caius didn't tell him that he was in love with a man like him before, and why he hasn't told him that Caius's reputation is on the line. Caius doesn't know what to do. He tells Gu-Yingling to come with him, and then he tells Caius that he needs to find other directors who aren't going to discriminate against other gay people. He says that he can't afford to support Caius and that's why they should break up. He asks if Caius can come out of his closet to everyone in the country, and Caius says he already made up his mind.
