The next morning, Gu yiming wakes up. He's glad that he's okay, because he was worried about what happened to him. He tells Gu that he came back to the library to grab some books. He asks Gu if he can hide what happened from him, and Gu says that they've cut ties. Gu tells him that he can't hide what he has to say, because it's not his business. He says that he has already told Gu that everything is fine, but he wants to tell him something. He took a sexual-orientation test in the U.S. and the psychiatrist told him that his sexual orientation isn't changed, so he won't be able to be like Gu . Gu says he'll stay away from Gu the next time he sees him, so that he doesn't upset him by showing himself. He wants to know if Gu is gay or straight, and he says that, for him, he'd be willing to try and learn those things, if it were him. Gu asks if he means it, and says he has always been serious about his relationship with Gu, but now that he likes his kisses, hugs, and the intimacy of their life together, he wants Gu to be his boyfriend.
