He's just trying to figure out how to put the foundation in the right place. Caius looks at the water and sees that it's filled with "vital qi" , which is the energy that helps the body heal. He realizes that this is Caius's body, not his brother's, and he can't believe that Caius is able to build such a powerful foundation in such a weak spot. He asks his brother to call him Master, and Caius gives him a name. A god took his name away because his parents didn't sacrifice themselves to the gods, and the gods took away his name because his tribe doesn't call him by his real name. The tribe just calls him "hey" whenever they hear the word "hey." Caius then gives Caius a new name: "li" .
