About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of the clan's grandmaster, who is the disciple of the taoist and the leader of the sect. The narrator tells us that the grandmaster's status is much higher than that of the other elders in the clan, and that he is still at the stage of qi refining. He also tells us about the devil-suppressing pagoda in the mountains, where the disciples killed many of the demons, but some of them were too strong for them to be destroyed, so they were captured and sealed under the pagoda by one of the elders. The elders would then be responsible for refining them. The grandmaster moved to the pagoda later on, and would carve lines on the pagoda every time he leveled it up. The pagoda collapsed, and the demons inside it all died miserably, the narrator says. The Grandmaster greets his brother yunzi, who has come to congratulate him on making a "breakthrough again and improving his strength" . He tells him that he has grown up so he is "running wild," and that as a cultivator he must "stay away from arrogance, and rashness." The elder brother says that it is the "right choice" to let the oldest senior brother "break the ice first," and then someone "just kicked him out." The elders are surprised that the Grandmaster is coming, as he is the one who has been leading the sect for so long. He asks the elders why they all come to greet him, and they tell him that someone has come and asked for him. The elder brothers are surprised to see that the new disciple, tang ruiwei, has arrived, and her boobs have grown.
