The e-mails go on to say that the lecture on devils was good, and that the devils have a fixed population. They've been around for ages, but they're still people. The purpose of the national laboratory at the university is to study the physical difference between devils and humans, and to share the results with other scientists. The speaker says that the only way to get rid of the fear of the devil is to get people to move away from the point of contact with the devil. He also says that being a devil isn't a physical thing, it's a mental thing. He says that if humans moved away from that point, why wouldn't they be connected with a line of devils? The speaker then asks about a graduate student named Tsukasa Taira, who's working on the same project as him. The scientist says he doesn't have a job, but he'd like to talk to him about the possibility of getting him a job. He's also worried about the fact that the other men in the room don't support the idea that devils live long enough to deserve human rights.
