About This Chapter
The waitress at the hazama restaurant is found stabbed, and the police believe that the crime is committed by a vampire. The missing man has gone missing, and a party is being held for him at the restaurant. The waitress tells the police that the missing man seemed suspicious, and that he may have been drinking blood. The police are still awaiting the results of an autopsy, but the suspect is on the run, and they will need to speak to him. The victim was a "nice girl" who treated the waitress "like a human being" . The girl friend is "just a let-go" , and she is mouthing off to the police. The scene ends with the narrator declaring that the year of blood is about to begin.
