Devils' Line

In this chapter, the monster explains that the darkness has closed in on him and that he is surrounded by a mass of people. He can't see his parents because they are busy with their work. One day, he feels like dawn has finally come. The monster asks if he can stand under the cover of darkness, and the answer is yes. There are many penalties for misrepresenting themselves, but the result of something like this is support for a kind of revolution. Next, he explains, is to clean up the mess. Once a perp is identified, they will likely be killed. He explains that they will remain the new conspirators and control public opinion. The police have taken the monster's wallet and he has no choice but to flee.
