This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which Cai Ming-liang, the leader of the underground army, is wounded by a bullet fired by Yun. He is carried away in the air by his brother, who is also wounded in the battle. The flashback reveals that the two men were part of the same underground army unit, and that they are both in the same cave. The two men are now in the middle of the battle, and they are about to attack when they hear the sound of a bomb going off. They rush to the cave, where they find a hole in the wall. They find yan and his men inside, all injured, and the two of them lead the troops to investigate.
