"Sweet bite" is a metaphor for the relationship between vampires and humans. The narrator tells us that the crystal ball is showing that the man who tried to visit roy is now a vampire. He's been sent to kill roy, and the narrator says that he'll have to wait until he's dead before he tries again. He also says that if roy dies, the narrator will have to face the fact that she's a mortal woman. She says that she can't face the past because she'll be dead in a few years. She tells the narrator to be nice to her and not to make trouble.
