In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the vampire. He is a young man who has just returned from a trip to Europe. He has returned to England, where he has been sent by his master, the Prince, to find his mother and father. He tells his mother that the Prince has been drinking his blood, and he begs her to help him take the music files to a music studio so that he can take them to the Prince. The Prince, however, is not interested in the music, and refuses to drink his blood. The vampire is angry at the Prince's refusal, and demands that he be treated like a "filthy stop quibbling" . He demands that she stop bothering him, and she refuses to listen to him. The young man is upset that the prince has offended him, but he does not understand why the prince would offend a human being. He feels that the world is full of "humans" who have been "destined to be despised objects" since the day they were defeated.
