The next morning, Desdemona wakes up in the middle of the night. She's not sure what's going on, but she's pretty sure it's because of the mask. She doesn't want to wake up anyone else, so she goes to her room to get dressed. She wakes up the next morning and finds that the master of the house has woken up. He recognizes her as the one who helped him escape from the dungeon earlier in the day. The two of them have a little chat about Desdemonas birthday, which is coming up soon. The master asks if they can have a drink in the lounge, so they can talk. He's feeling a little drunk, so he asks her to pull him over so he can have another drink. She agrees to do so. He tells her that he needs to get some "fresh air" and "sober up" before he can go back to the dungeon. She tells him to pull her over so that she can "sit and pull" him over again. He says he's too drunk to do anything, so let's just have another beer. She says she wants to go get "some fresh air" , and then she pulls him over. He can't stand it any longer, and he tells her to "pull back push over" so that he can "do something else" . She pulls him back over, and the master says that he'll find out if the master is drunk. He asks her not to be shy, and she says she'll take his leave
