In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "blood-hunter" . He is a member of the vampire community, and he is very angry at the actions of the other members of the community. He tells them that he is a blood-hunter, but that he does not want to kill them just because they are women. He explains that they do not need to come to the slum to seek a doctor, because their goal is to protect everyone. He also tells them to believe that the two vampire representatives are there to help them end the war.
