In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named Duxiaoshen. She is a blood servant of the prince. She has been sent to the hospital to recover from her injury. She does not want to miss the exam that is to be given the next day. She tells the prince that she has stopped herself from going to see her brother because she will lose the scholarship if she does not take the exam. She also tells him that she will pay back for the medical expenses of her brother if he is not well enough to attend the exam the following day
