The next morning, the Governess wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes that she's not dressed for the day. She's so angry that she can't breathe. The Governess tells her husband that it's his first time seeing "the wild side" of a man, and that he has to be ready for it. She tells him that he'll have to pay for his "nonsense" , and she promises to help him wash himself up. She also tells him to call her chenchen, or husband, from now on. She says that she remembers what he did last night, and now he's pretending to be "innocent" . She calls him a "mischiefly little stray kitten," and he calls her a "big beast." The two of them go for a walk together, and he tells her that after last night he feels "something's changed" in him.
