In this chapter, the narrator explains that the events of this story are purely fictional and that no real characters, places, or events are mentioned. The narrator tells the audience that she was sold to human traffickers by her stepmother and that the traffickers were not familiar with the evil trade. They did not know that the Fu family would track the traffickers down and arrest them. In her previous life, she did not wake up until after she had been in the hospital. She says that she is grateful to the narrator for saving her life and that she will repay him when the matter is over.
