The next morning, the Governess wakes up in the middle of the night. She's so upset that she can't even get out of bed, let alone get dressed. The Governess is all, "Gee, I wish I could teach you how to swim." She wants to know why they didn't tell her about the incident earlier in the day, when she was swimming with the other girls. She thinks it's because they're too busy to teach her how to do it, and she's worried that she'll get caught in the water and drown. She tells herself that she needs to learn how to be a good swimmer, and that she doesn't have the time to wait for someone to tell her what to do.
