"Will you be mine?" asks kota, and kota replies that he'll be mine, too. When kota says that, he's not saying that he loves you, but that he wants you to be his. He's just trying to make himself feel better. He doesn't want to be a jerk, he says, because he'd rather be with his sister than with a guy like kota. Aww, that's kind of like saying, "I love you, too, but I don't love you like my dad did" . But kota's got a problem. He can't figure out how to talk to kota without seeing him, and he can only tell kota what's wrong with him in person. He seems like a "smarter" guy than his sister, and she wonders if he wants to be thought of like his dad.
