In this chapter, we are introduced to Nishikura, a young woman who has just returned from a trip with her boyfriend, Hiroshi Fujioka. She is very excited to be reunited with him, but she is also very upset that he is not accompanying her on the trip. She tells him that she has put off the trip with Hiroshi because she does not know what is going on with her father, and that she is coming with him instead. She also tells him about the fact that Hiroshi is a famous actor and that he has been acting for many years. She asks him to come back on the next trip with them, but he refuses, saying that he will not be able to go on such a trip because of his busy schedule. She then asks him if he is feeling okay, and he says that he feels the same way.
