In this short scene, Hiroshi and Onozuka are walking to the finish line of the Motoya race when they run into each other. Hiroshi is worried that the police are ahead of him and that he is not prepared for the task at hand. He asks onozuka to accompany him to the police station, but he refuses to do so, saying that he has told him too many times that it is too late to ask her. He also says that he will ask her the next day, but that he does not want to drag on the subject of asking her.
