About This Chapter
In this chapter, Mina explains that her daughter's burns are minor and that she will be entering a "protective facility" . She tells her son that he should not worry about her, as she will only be allowed to meet "a limited number" of people. Mina tells him not to worry about him, as he will be able to "support her again" once she is well enough to go back to school. She also tells him to not let his insults get in the way of his "strong will" and his desire to protect others. She asks him to host a party for her and her friends so that they can "top the day off" with a good time. He tells her that he was afraid to fall asleep when he was little and that he wants to hug her now. He asks her if she feels guilty for abandoning him, and she replies that she does not. She says that she is happy because she is safe, but that she wants to prove that everything her father said was "a lie." She tells him that everyone said they would be happy with his old one, but she thinks it would be better for him to get a new one.
