About This Chapter
In this short scene, Hirokazu continues his story of how he came to be in the position he is in. He tells us that he was given a card by Mamoru , who gave it to him as a gift. He says that he has been playing the game for so long that he knows it is his specialty to play two cards in one hand. When he gets one of the cards, he gives it to the other player, who then tries to play the other card as well. As he is playing, he realizes that he cannot win if he tries to get all the cards. He wonders why he has to play so many games in such a short period of time. He also realizes that the sleeves of his kimono are getting in the way of his play. He asks if he can just take each card back with him, and he says he will. He then asks if there is any way he can win the game if he plays only one card. The other player replies that he would like to see him play three games in a row, but he can only do so if he has one card to play with. He thinks that if he does so, he will be able to defeat the player who is the better player. He is sure that he can do so, since he has such a good team.
