The narrator tells us that he's going to the high school track team's tournament in June. He wants to go to the tournament because he wants to meet up with a girl friend of his. He's a little bummed that he doesn't have a chance to go because his big sister is doing a photo shoot for the track team. The narrator asks if he has a friend, and the girl tells him that she likes him. The two of them decide to play the game of karuta together, and they'll meet up again.
