The chapter opens with a soliloquy by Hiroshi. He tells us that he and his friends have come to see arata, but that he is not the man they thought he was. He says that he has never had dreams or anything he was good at, and that arata told him that if he were the number one player in the world, he would be the world's best player. Hiroshi asks how he is able to play the game so fast, and he says that the god of the game will tell him the story of one character. He also says that sensei collapsed, and arata was taking care of him all the time. The chapter ends with Hiroshi telling us that the research club in Japan is looking for new members.
