In this chapter, the girls discuss the results of the last two rounds of the Karuta tournament. The girls feel that they have lost, but they are confident that they can beat the other schools in the tournament, since they have already beaten them in the last round of the tournament last year. They feel that the two schools that will be entered into the tournament will be the schools that humiliated them in last year's tournament.
