About This Chapter
In this chapter, Mizu sees that the third and final round of the high school tournament has ended, and that the winner of the tournament will go on to represent the country at the World Championships in South Korea in June. Mizu tells Hiroshi that he has been waiting for him to come to the tournament, but he has not. Hiroshi tells Mizu that he is late, and Mizu says that she has sent him many texts, but she does not know how many of them he has sent. She tells him to watch what he says, and he says that he will tell the truth about the tournament. The narrator says that the tournament is the end of the era of the school's senior team, as it is the last time they will play together for three years in a row. He says that Mizu has worked hard for the last three years, but has not been able to do so for the past three years. He asks Mizu to remember what he said last year, when he wanted her to smile, and to remember that she worked hard, but not for all of this time. He tells her that she should put more effort into winning rose cards, or else she will not be able to play in the tournament when it matters.
