In this short scene, Chihaya and his friend, saneatsu, are in the middle of a round of card games. They are playing against each other in order to advance to the next round of the tournament. As they are playing, they are interrupted by the arrival of a girl named Chi-chan, who has come to cheer them up. The girl tells them that she is in the same club as them, and that they are going to the tournament to play in the "Master and Queen match preliminaries" . She asks them to tell her that they will not be going on their school trip, and she promises to do so if they do not tell her about not going on the trip.
