In this chapter, the father-son conversation continues. The father explains that his daughter has been attracted to the young man because of his "attractive face" . He explains that the only way he can defeat his daughter's evil plan is by using his "faith" , which is the same faith he used to defeat his own daughter. He says that if he were an ordinary person, he would have gone mad with fear. He adds that the faith of the father is not protecting anyone out of justice, but rather a killing intention, which comes from the desire to protect his child. He goes on to explain that he has been wondering why his daughter had the ability to change her own personality when something happens to her. Now that he realizes this, he wants to go and beat his "imcompetent and ugly self" so that he won't be able to harm his daughter.
