Alek says he doesn't want anyone to know who he really is. He wants to keep his true self a secret from his family and friends. He says that after watching his mom's secret video, he realized that he was loved by someone. Alek says that when he gets his powers, he's destined to meet criminals who don't understand what they're doing. They're not thieves, he says, but "murderers who kill for pleasure" . In the end, people will either leave him or get hurt because they've been afraid to get hurt.
