This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between ting and ting. ting tells ting that he's the one who's going to train the new guy. . After all, he says, he can choose who he wants to train. He's not going to let anyone else do it for him. He wants to kill whoever he likes first, and he doesn't want anyone else to be able to do that with him around. He says that ting's weapon can penetrate anything, and that's why it's so hard for ting to kill anyone. He also says that he can use a high intensity force field attack to destroy the barrier on the other side of the wall, and then he'll be invincible. This is all very well and good, but ting points out that the theory on the window is vulnerable to attack. He adds that thanks to ting, he was able to make improvements on the theory. He asks ting if they're a "match made in heaven
