Panlos is so disappointed in himself that he doesn't want to tell the story of how he came to be in Beiyuan. He's too slow, he tells Panlos, and he's using resurrecty to get rid of her. Panlos tells him to shut up. He tells him that he has companions, and that they're just a bunch of hyenas that's just been hunting for their prey. He says that whoever owns the woman will become an enemy to the people, and they hate outsiders. He also says that if Panlos wants to show off his prey to the public, this isn't the best plan. He reminds Panlos that people like him have a problem, and if things go wrong, their brains will snap. The best thing to do is to destroy all of the people who want Panlos's downfall.
