The next morning, Shu asks to be taken to her bedroom. Shu is shocked to find that the emperor's body covers her demonic aura and prevents her from returning to old huangshan. Shu tells the girl that she will kill her when she recovers from her injuries and practices the "ultimate secret art" of dealing with her. Shu asks if the emperor is afraid of her running away, and she says that she has always avoided the practice of luoying, but the night before she ran into the emperor while out of control. Shu says that the incense burner that he keeps with him must have been louying, in which case she will be responsible. Shu goes back to the Great Hall to listen to politics. It is possible that Shu and the emperor slept together the previous night, but Shu cannot remember if she slept with him or not. Shu thinks that the two of them must have absorbed "a large amount of the quintessential energy" to have a radiant look. Shu wonders if she knows something about the incense and wonders if it was a dream.
