The Prime Minister arrives at the Marquis's house late at night. He's worried that his daughter and son-in-law are going to get hungry and fall ill during the night, so he's going to have the dinner prepared for them. When the Prime Minister asks why the Marquis isn't there, the Marquis tells him to go back to his room, where he'll have a private chat with Su Su. Su Su's room is freezing cold, and the prime minister asks why he didn't come to see her earlier. The prime minister tells him that he doesn't want to have any "gap between us" . He says that he believes Su Su will love only Su Su and no other person, and that he won't be apologizing for anything. He wonders how many guys can love their girl as much as he does, and how they'll forgive any mistakes she makes. The two men decide to take a carriage ride to the three kingdoms together later that day.
