In this short scene, we learn that the kid in the mask is named Laopei, and that he has come to live with his mom. The kid is very excited to meet his guardian spirit, who tells him that he must protect him from harm. He tells the kid that his mom planned to set him up, but that she did it on the props that he would use later, so he has to protect himself. The guardian spirit tells the boy that he will always protect him, and the two of them start their performance. Laopeis mom tells him the props are safe, and he is amazed at how brave he is to challenge his mom to make him suffer. The two start to leave, but Laopehis mom tells them to take a break and return in ten minutes
