In this chapter, we learn that the Panda spirit, named Run Su, has fallen in love with a little boy named Heibulong. He tells the boy that he will accept him if he will marry him. He also tells him that he is the prettiest Panda spirit in the kingdom, and that he has won the lottery for the chance to be the Panda's husband. He then tells him to kill him, because he is so stubborn. He says that he heard that people often develop a relationship between childhood and adulthood, so maybe he should keep Run Su close and build their relationship slowly. Run Su tells the little boy that she has a fever, and he tells her to stay away from him. She tells him not to worry, because when she is feeling better, they will continue slowly. She then tells her husband that the population of her clan has dropped drastically, and she urges him to start a family with her. She says that she is doing this for her clan, not for anyone else. She explains that she did not expect that she would be a female spirit. She also says that the wolf clan has attacked, and they are already in the bamboo forest, ten miles away.
