In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Smooper" . We are told that he is a "human" who has been "petted" by a cat. We learn that the cat is disobedient to his master, and that "swooper" is trying to lure the cat away from his master. The cat is coming closer and closer, and the cat will be "electrocuted" if he touches the curtain that the human has "stabbed with nails." We are also told that the storm is about to increase, so the cat may not be able to escape.
