The next day, they're going to give him two special stamps, one for protection and one for night-vision. He's going to have to learn how to use them, though, because he can't remember which one he's supposed to use. They don't want him to be able to get out of the house, so they gave him a set of low-level stamps, which are clearly not for him to use in the real world. The smell of porridge reminds him of Mr. Ganymede, who's better at cooking than he is at running the kitchen. He says he'll have to retire and take charge of the kitchen, which sounds like a good idea.
