Back at the palace, Fang is pleased to see that he's not alone. He's also grateful to the demon lord for allowing him to escape. He thanks the lord for giving him the opportunity to escape, and he thanks the old man for saving him from the sea. The old man even tells Fang how to get away from the palace. Fang wants to run away, but he can't because the wall of flesh and blood surrounds him. He wants to kill the man, but the man won't let him. Fang says he'll let the man have his fill of the divine bow if he surrenders.
