It's too late to wake up Gamut, who's been chasing after the two mailmen. Gamut wakes up and realizes that he and his men have fallen into a "loop" , which means that they're trapped in the corridor until they die. He tells his men to get rid of the "yoink corrosion powder" first, because that's what's keeping them in the loop . He's worried that if they don't do it, the water will flow into the corridor, and they'll have no way to handle it. He suggests that they jump out the window and grab a shot at the "loophole" .
