Back at the post office, the Governess tells the Postmaster that he's going to kill him when he gets back. He's glad that he didn't do him any harm. The Governess says that she's not going to go back on his promise. She tells him that if he surrenders, he'll get a third of the revenue from the sale of stamps. He says that's a generous offer, but that he doesn't want to settle for just three stamps. If he shows her his stamp album, she'll take it away from him and be doomed. He tells her that they'll become friends and complete the mission together.
