The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for their new home, a new world called "Endless Earth." The captain tells his crew that he's going to try to write them letters once they're gone, but they've got to hurry up and get back to the capsule before he can do so. The captain's sister, hanna, tries to get him to go home, but he says he'll go back to his mother's house first. hanna tells the captain that she's fine, but she wishes he'd stayed in the capsule instead of going back to her mom's place. The crew is psyched about the mission, and hanna says that they'll be able to sleep in their capsule for the rest of their lives. She's so excited that she can't sleep at all. She wakes up in the middle of the night, and her head hurts so badly that she doesn't want to move. She asks hanna to wake up the other crew members first, so they can get some fresh air before they go off to explore the new world.
