The narrator tells us that the moon god, the Ser vant, has chosen a lucky girl to bring the villagers to the blissful world of the moon. The girl was picked by the goddess, alesha, many years before she was selected. The narrator says that he only met the girl once, but that she was lucky enough to be chosen by alesha. He says that the next time the villagers gather at the seashore to receive the girl, they will have to wait fifteen days before they can receive her. He tells us, however, that he has been observing the moon every day for the past fifteen days, and every day, he feels the full moon. He feels that the girl has given him a baptism, and he feels a warm feeling in his body. He wonders if he can get eternal happiness in the blissful moon world.
