The voice of the god tells the protagonist that he is the one who has revealed himself to the world. He tells him to take his phone and destroy it. The protagonist tells us that he was in the fourth grade when someone first said they loved him. He says that he's never been hit before, but now he feels the same way about another person. He asks if she's a popular girl, and she says yes, and he promises to make her mom happy. He then tells her that he loves her even more than her mom, and now he just proved it. He compares himself to a leader of a street gang, and says he can easily control them. He also says he could use this man's charisma to find a religion, and that he can use it to put his life into "hard mode," but now that this man is going to make his life easy again, he'll be mine. The god tells him that it is time for him to remember that day when he saw his mom covered in blood. He gives her the slippers he gave her as a present, and it makes him sad. He hates his stepfather, he says, and when he is satisfied with his life, he will be happy.
