In prison, Kyoko and Tobe talk. Kyoko tells Tobe that she loves to visit her husband and son, who live in a small apartment. She wants to be a housewife, but she knows that their happy times are irreplaceable. That night, the intruder killed them both, and she killed him back. She realizes that murder always takes a person's "most precious person away" . She decides that she will never forgive anyone who kills, no matter what the reason. She says that she has killed people because she wants to, but that she doesn't sense any "hint of anger" or "obligation" in her knife. She explains that she killed her son in revenge for the murder of her husband, and that killing her own son was a "shock" to her. She admits that she's been killing people in search of the same thrill, but hasn't quite tasted it. She wonders if she'll ever be able to commit a murder, and says that if she does, she will have to release Kyoko.
