The scene opens with a description of the mural on the walls of a cavern. It's a beautiful mural, but it's also full of blood. The lady in the mural wants to know what's going on, but she can't figure out why anyone would want her blood on their clothes. She's worried that the mural will show them how to escape the cavern with the help of the gods. She also worries that the owner of the cavern might be the great Theodor the Great. He's been waiting for her for a long time, and now he's ready to leave. He wants her to embrace him first, and then they can get out of there together.
