In this chapter, we learn that the bride of the wedding of the wine god is a woman from a foreign country. The wine god has chosen a beautiful woman for his bride, and he wants her to be his wife. The young woman is offended by the idea that a foreigner would be chosen for her husband, and she protests that the ceremony is nothing more than a symbolic ceremony. She says that if the god were to appear on the stage now, he would not be able to handle the aftermath of the marriage, and that highness should not have any problems with it. She also says that she is about to become a god of wine at the wedding, and if she were to reveal her identity as the theodorian, she would be in danger of losing the support of the people, and thus a war would have to be avoided. She wants to change into her wedding dress, and says that it looks just like a goddess from the shrine. She explains that she was wearing a nymph's dress, which is popular with the citizens of the city. She then says that the god must have grown taller in the past few days, and wonders why the people are so surprised. He says that he has seen the god's face before, and is sorry that he is one of the unlucky brats.
