In this chapter, the reader is introduced to a number of characters, each of whom has a special meaning to the story. The first person introduces himself as "Cheryl" and the second person as "tyy" or "gus aldana" . The third person is introduced as "ba" or ba-buff, and the fourth person is "n-no" or n-no-n-n. This is a reference to the fact that the first person has a scar on his or her body. The second person says that he will spend his entire life "healing the scar" that he has left on the third person's body. He says that the only thing that can stop him is an earthquake, which has just taken place in the eastern empire.
